I am…the moonlight dancing on the water
I am…the baby whale leaping for joy
I am…the sunrise thru the clouds
I am…the belly laugh of a child
I am…the deep stillness of the first snowfall
I am…the depths of the starry sky
I am…the balmy ocean breeze
I am…the splendor of Fall
I am…the tender heart of a small child
I am…the fierce warrior of a mother protecting her child
I am…the ancient crackling campfire
I AM.
— Mary Kobe
I am the open heart of the Divine
I am the love of the world
I am the welcome mat at the door
I am the troubled mind
I am the aching body
I am the wind that blows
I am the spoon bill
I am the green tree, ancient, deep rooted,
a place of home and beauty
I am the unwavering stone
I am the eyes of the beloved
I am the redness of fire
I am the sword that protects
I am the arrogant ignorant
I am the surrendered servant
I am the void in which I dwell
I am the listening
I am it all
I am the friend I seek
I am the friend you seek
I am the fearful feeling
I am the deep breath that relaxes
I am the rocking pelvis
I am the kinked hose of spirit
I am the seeker of pleasure
I am the seeker of free flow
I am the endless flight.
— Andrew Horwood
I am joy. I am joyful.
I am peace. I am peaceful.
I am love. I am lover.
Come near to this fire and
melt all your icy places,
that we may dance, laugh
and sing!!
— Ajna
I am spilling over the table onto the floor
around your shoes, under your chair
and out through the exit door.
I am the breeze tickling your toes.
Where I am moves light things
in my path
brushing flowers, jiggling tulips,
bouncing cottonwood puffs,
swishing nasal hairs.
There is an ocean of air in which
I am influencing with my
almost weightless, velvet fingers.
I am the breeze.
— Michael Puharich
I AM JOY —
the whisper of the breeze amongst the
glistening sweet leaves of giant treetops.
I AM THE SUN —
that calls forth the day in the Universe —
calling forth man and beast to rise from sleep
and begin again.
I AM THE MOON — that glows high up
in the sky with a full heart and bright bright smile.
I AM — the center of hot molten lava,
bubbling a brewing beneath layers
of earth — preparing energies and mixtures
to rise upward finding a way to
the surface.
I AM — the quietness of still
evenings that brings rest and peace.
I AM — a meditation bringing absolute
silence into being.
— Kate Barrett-Leonard
I am mountains of glory, streams of tears,
trees of heartache
I am birds flying through broken walls of separation
I am jagged edges softening into profuse connectedness
I am luxurious timelessness
I am fuzzy concave caverns of escape
from lack of love
I am nurturing, enduring silence
I am lacy, delicate vulnerability
I am transparent, revealing grace.
— Uma Faith
I am the shoes on my feet, walking
I am toes dancing
I am bells jingling
I am ears hearing
I am a head turning
I am thoughts flowing
I am chaos and I am Peace
I am that I might be.
— Lynn Turner
I am the wave on the beach

I am the dust off an elephant’s back
I am the starting gun of the race
I am the cricket in the night
I am the surging water in Hell’s Gate

visited on the plains

I am the sounds of birds welcoming sleep.
—Hugh Duff
